Fencing South and Fencing New Zealand invite you to attend the Oceania and NZ National U20s 2023 to be held at the Edgar Center in Dunedin on 1-2 July 2023.

FENCING NEW ZEALAND DEVELOPMENT CAMP
In addition to the competition, FENZ will be hosting a National development camp in Dunedin from 3-5 July immediately following the competition.
The camp is designed for Foil, Epee, and Sabre fencers, and is open to fencers from across the Oceania region.
Open to those 13 and above, this camp is designed for fencers competing at or looking to compete at a national or international level to assist with progressing their individual potential, aims, and aspirations including competing at international tournaments in 2024 (e.g. Commonwealth Cadet and Junior Fencing Champs, Asian and World Juniors/Seniors). Participants will be challenged to refine their technical, tactical and strategic skills.
The camp will be held at Metro Indoor Sports (93 Crawford Street, Central Dunedin, Dunedin 9016)
Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th July - 9.30 – 4.30
Wednesday 5th July - 9.30 – 1pm
The camp is being funded with support from the NZOC/Olympic Solidarity Grant which covers the cost of the camp itself.*
Some additional support is available for NZ fencers who meet the eligibility criteria below:
Travel support up to $250 may be available to NZ fencers who are not eligible to compete in the NZ Juniors and live outside of the host region **
Accommodation support is available for up to $100/night for U15 NZ fencers who live outside the host region (max 3 nights) ***
* Camp cost excludes travel and accommodation. To be paid by the fencer.
** Travel support up to $250 is available for New Zealand senior fencers (aged 20+ as at 1 January 2023), who live outside of the host region and are currently competing internationally
*** Accommodation support of $100 per night, maximum of three nights is available for New Zealand U15 fencers (aged 14 or under as at 1 January 2023), who live outside of the host region. Dates covered in the accommodation support are (2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th July)
