Updates to the National 2024 Calendar.
National Juniors – Date Change
With the dates now being available for Asian Juniors (16th Feb to 25th Feb) it has been decided to change the National Juniors Championships be shifted by one week to the 2nd & 3rd March.
As a result of this new dates for the North Under 20 Championships and Ongley Memorial Foil event will be advised once a venue is identified.
University Games has now been confirmed as Wellington.
U15 and Cadet Championships followed by Junior Challenge.
Under 15 and Cadet Championships will include individual and Regional Team events for both age groups. Each region is entitled to enter one team per weapon/gender for Under 15’s and two teams for Cadets.
The Junior Challenge is a required selection event for Commonwealth Cadets & Juniors later in 2024. Entry Regulations have been set by the Selectors, all those under 20 are able to enter. Each person may only enter a single weapon.
This event will be run over two days, the first day being Individual Weapon events (Poules followed by D/E’s).
The second day is allocated to team events, entrants are to self-organise teams, although the Selectors may make changes to facilitate their processes. All teams must be submitted to DT by 3pm the preceding day and will be confirmed by 8am the following morning. Processes around how these “confirmed teams” will be announced this will be provided closer to the event.
Please be aware that both these events will be very busy and are unlikely to finish before 6pm.
Presidents Cup
This event will move to 29th & 30th June (from 5th & 6th May) and will be at Mount Albert Grammar School.
National Secondary Schools – Date Confirmed
This event is confirmed for 7th & 8th September and will be at Mount Albert Grammar School. Again, this is a large event and is unlikely to finish before 6pm.
Mid-South Events have been entered, except for the Mark Rance Memorial which will be added once details are finalised.
