It is with much sadness that that we must advise that our old friend Keith Mann, past President of Fencing New Zealand, past President of Mid-South, and past New Zealand Selector for many years, passed away on Saturday morning in Christchurch Hospital at the age of 89. He has been unwell for most of this year and in hospital and briefly a rest home for the last month or so.
Fencing NZ continues to monitor the situation with regard to rules around participation in sport and vaccinations and note that the implementation of the new Government Covid Protection Framework (traffic light) system is anticipated prior to Christmas.
Due to the ongoing pandemic and lock down in Auckland, Fencing NZ have had no option but to cancel the 2021 Junior Championships.
The Long List has been published and is available here. Please take the time to check your entry and email secretary@fencing.org.nz if there are any errors or omissions.
