FeNZ has been privileged to receive from the FIE Development Programme a generous donation of fencing equipment for use to expand fencing in New Zealand.
The focus of the programme is to develop More Fencers in More Places, recognising that there are an increasing number of clubs in new areas, towns and centres where there have not been clubs before.
Applications are invited from any club for a grant of equipment to assist their membership to grow.
Your application should include a background to your club, its fencer mix, number of affiliated fencers, who is coaching the club and their level of experience, and most importantly how the club will use the equipment to boost numbers of fencers in the short, medium and long term.
We know that many of the clubs in smaller centres may not have experienced coaches and that is fine. It is about how you will build the numbers, take fencing into your community and promote the sport to more people, at any level, any age, any where.
The equipment includes 350N clothing and masks, non FIE electric weapons, bodywires, for sabre, foil, and epee. Clothing has FeNZ Development Programme markings. Equipment is on long term loan and remains the property of FeNZ.
Sizes are medium to large so will be suitable for mid-teens and older only.
