L.      Minimum Equipment Standards for FeNZ Competitions:

Fencers using size 3 blades or smaller (e.g. U13)

ALL other Fencers

FeNZ hosted Tournament with international component (e.g. Oceanics)

FIE foil and epee blades / S2000 sabre blades also required for all for all tournaments except those with size 3 blades or smaller – ie in line with FIE requirements.

Note:

1.    Tournaments overseas (eg Australia) will have their own equipment requirements dependent on the Fencing Federation and the type of tournament.

2.    These standards are intended for New Zealand ONLY.

3.    It will be expected that where a fencer can use equipment of a higher standard – eg 800N or breeches rather than long trackpants, then they will do so.
